Hey Poly Bears!

I'm Coach Cherniss and this is my second time coaching Poly Volleyball.  I was born and raised in southern California and began my playing career at South Pasadena High School, then played for the club teams of both Idaho State University and Cal State San Bernardino.

I began teaching in RUSD in 1999.  I coached for Poly as the head varsity coach from 1999 - 2003.  At the club level, I coached for Rancho Valley Volleyball Club from 1994 - 2002.

I am married to Kim Cherniss, who is the head coach at Cal State San Bernardino, and we are the proud parents of Jordan, who is currently playing at Northern Arizona University.
